A day without coffee is like… just kidding, I have no idea ☕️😆

Happy Monday morning!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! Gosh y’all, we have some crazy weather here! A few days in February it has reached close to 80. We had monsoons this past week and last night storms blew through and the weather radio woke us up a little before 2 AM. Sunday the temps steadily dropped and this week’s highs will be in the high 30s to low 50s! And we may even have a snow flurry. I’m ready for spring, even if it does bring more stormy weather. Now, on to the good stuff!!
Here’s how my story ended for the week of 2/10 – 2/16/25:
- Get border on this month’s Island Batik blog hop project and get it quilted. DONE!! I named this Dandy Candy Kisses! See my post and giveaway HERE.

- Work on SAHRR Round Five. DONE!! See my next post for Round Five. Here it is with Round Four added. I made plus blocks for Wendy’s prompt.

- Start thinking on my Island Batik project for March. DONE!! I have an idea.
- Whatever suits my fancy. DONE!! Thursday night we got to go watch the younger twin in his play at school. Those kiddos work so hard and did a great job. The name of it was Holes, which was a comedic take off on the movie, which I’ve never seen, so it was difficult for me to follow. But they did a great job and I enjoyed watching them. Friday we celebrated my birthday with some good BBQ for dinner.
Plans for the week of 2/17 – 2/23/25:
- Work on March Island Batik challenge.
- Work on Round Six of SAHRR. If you are quilting along with us, this will be the last round before the parade.
- Sew a block from the new EQ add-on, Kaleidoscope Two and write a review.
- Clean my machine!
- Clean a little in the studio.
- Whatever cranks my tractor!
Here is some quilty inspiration shared last week!

These blocks are perfect for quilters who love to paper piece and the designs are spectacular, just wait until you see them! I’ll be doing a review and showing a block I pieced on Friday. KS is enjoying a -17 windchill at the moment, snow on the ground and more on the way. I’m loving it, but I am also home for the day! Now, a day without coffee….hmmm…. I’ve even upped my coffee amount to 2-3 cups a day so I guess I wouldn’t know but it sounds like a headache waiting to happen! A belated happy bday!
We are having the same weather here. The storm was a humdinger wasn’t it? It knocked out our electricity. I am so glad that you are safe and sound though. We may get flurries this week too. Love Dandy Candy Kisses- it is so cheerful. Great goals list for the week , but I have to say that I cracked up at “Whatever cranks my tractor” ! Hee! Hee! Have a great week, Brenda.
Brenda, is your link up for the round 5 sahrr on a different page?
Thanks Brenda! Have a great week, and stay warm.
Your SAHRR is looking really good.
I really love your runner. The fabric and quilting really highlight your design. Thank you for the linky, wish I could remember to come back every Monday.
Happy Belated Birthday! It’s been gobs of fun to see how everyone interprets the SAHRR prompts.
I would like to see you doing “whatever cranks my tractor” – lol! I hope your birthday was a happy one. BBQ sounds yummy!
