Wake up and smell the motivation…or just the coffee ☕️👃

Happy Monday morning!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! I hope you have all had a great week. Things were quiet and busy working on quilting for me. Let’s move on to the good stuff!!
Here’s how my story ended for the week of 4/21- 4/27/25:
- Continue working on Opportunity quilt. DONE!! I finished the last border Friday. I got the backing on the frame and am ready to press the top and pin it to the frame! This quilt is huge 84 x 84 and I really don’t enjoy making or quilting large quilts, so this may be my last one unless they would like two smaller quits! It’s getting harder to wrestle those big ones!
- Make second test block for May IB challenge. DONE!! It came out great…well, except for that weird HST in the upper left corner. When I was trimming them, I goofed that one up. I had to rethink how to use the Bloc Loc tool, and well, this is a great example of how NOT to do it! LOL I’ll know for the next one. Glad it’s just a test.

- Cut out part of May IB challenge and start piecing as leaders-enders – multitasking – YAY!!! NOPE! That didn’t happen, but it will this week!
- Whatever suits my fancy! DONE!! It didn’t really suit my fancy, but I did have an appointment with my dental hygienist on Wednesday, not my idea of fun though! LOL
Plans for the week of 4/27 – 5/5/25:
- Press the quilt top and get it on the frame and hopefully start quilting it.
- Cut out May IB Irish Chain challlenge project.
- Start stitching my Irish Chain project, hopefully at Sew Day with my quilty friends.
- Whatever cranks my tractor!
Here is some quilty inspiration shared last week!

Hi Brenda, good luck on your Irish Chain project. Good thing that was a test block, but then, you would have just un-sewed it! 🙂 Thanks for the party.
Thanks Brenda! Have a great week.
I’m not sure I really noticed until you said something. That is a cool block!! and – what fun colors!
Happy Monday, Brenda. What a pretty block. I would have never noticed the HST. Love the pretty fabrics. Enjoy tackling your To Do List this week. Hugs.
