Monday Musings 4/3/23

Welcome! I’m trying to get back in gear after coasting through all the seafood on the Gulf Coast! LOL We had a great trip and ate some awesome seafood, despite a little stormy, rainy weather. I am glad to be home again and now to jump back into all things stitchy!!

For the week of 3/27/23 – 4/2/23:

  1. Eat a lot of Gulf Coast seafood!!! Leaving today and will have four days to fill up on seafood and hopefully hit some quilt shops on the coast as well! ✔ DONE and DONE!! We ate some great seafood, but the quilt shop I wanted to visit had closed it doors. It’s sad this is happening everywhere. Our LQS closed recently and it will be missed! The next nearest one is almost an hour away. There’s Joann’s but it’s just not the same as my LQS! On the other hand, isn’t this a gorgeous scene?
  1. Work on April IB project. ✘ Nope – but I did think about it! LOL
  2. Bind the SAHRR 2023 quilt. ✔ DONE! I decided purple would be the perfect binding for this quilt of many colors!!
  1. That’s enough. Gonna just play most of the week! ✔ DONE! And that’s all folks!!

For the week of 4/3/23 – 4/9/23:

  1. Continue working on April IB project.
  2. Work on April Say What? Sew It Show It Blog Hop project!
  3. Sew Day on Wednesday with friends – working on Amish with a Twist V blocks.
  4. Get ready for some secret sewing! While I was gone, I received a delivery of F/W 23 fabrics for a catalog quilt later in the year! Can I just say ooooh la la!! Gorgeous winter fabrics!
  5. Who knows what else??!

Let’s take a look at what our fellow quilters have shared with us from last week. Check the links from last week’s post if you want to know more about any particular photo!

Ah the Gulf, love it! We were 90 miles south of Key West in Cuba in March, so I get the boost some sunshine and warmth can give us at that time of year! Love your SAHRR, turned out so pretty!

Oh my goodness, love the up close photo of your SAHRR! Your colors are so inviting. I got stuck at about the 4th round and it is still sitting there. Your vacation photo is so beautiful; I love anything with water. It refills my soul.

Looks like a Iovely time at the beach! We’re hoping to go in late summer. My favorite part is getting up to watch the sun come up as I walk along the shoreline. Happy stitching!
