I don’t remember ordering a Monday with my morning coffee.
Happy Monday morning – AND HAPPY JUNE, everyone!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! How was your week last week? Ours was definitely busy with the kiddos. When I passed them off to the MeMaw on Wednesday the house seemed so empty and quiet! Everyone is home now and all is well! I hope you had a good week. Now…on to the fun stuff!
Here’s my story for the week of 5/27 – 6/2/24:
- Work on June’s IB project. DONE!! I got 12 of the cube blocks cut out and one stitched together.
- Get borders on Purple Haze. DONE!! She is now sitting on the longarm awaiting her turn to be quilted!
- Make backing for Purple Haze. Nope!
- Work on project for Joan’s For the Birds Blog Hop. Nope! I located the pattern I want to make but that’s all. I have so many projects I’ve drawn up in EQ8 and I couldn’t remember the exact name of it, but I finally found it.
- Clean a bit in the studio. DONE!!
- Whatever suits my fancy. DONE!! Other than getting my hair ‘did,’ nothing else happened. LOL
What’s on the agenda for 6/3 – 6/9:
- Finish stitching the 12 cube blocks for my June IB project.
- Cut and try to get stitched the V blocks for the above project.
- Work on For the Birds project.
- My sewing buddies want to learn to make the cube blocks so I will be teaching them on Thursday!
- Clean a bit in the studio and gather some things to take the guild next week.
- Whatever suits my fancy!

I’m always exhausted when I send the grandkids back to their parents. I only had 1 girl (11 years old) last Saturday and I was worn out – in a good way – after a lunch and shopping day.
Congratulations on making so much progress on your list from last week! Here’s to another week of fun stitching.
I just whacked 5″ off my hair in frustration. I think it looks much better… but I miss being able to color it. (became allergic to the dyes I guess) you’re a musician? what do you play? I played piano, and clarinet, dh is trying to learn guitar but he’s hard of learning.

I know that “quiet” feeling when the kids leave. I bet they had a great time. We are on the schedule for The Littles in July. It’s amazing our daughter has to “schedule” us, between Bible school weeks and other “camps” and their own vacation – lol, so busy!
Glad you enjoyed your time with your grands and got some things done, too. Here’s to a good week for you!
You got your hair done? Well, then share a picture, please 🙂 My June project is ready, but my hair needs a trim 😀
It does get awful quiet after the grandbabes leave doesn’t it? I bet you had a great time with yours; it sounds like they keep you on your toes. Have a wonderful week in the quilt studio, Brenda. I hope you get in a lot of quilting time and great luck on organizing. Hugs.
Hi Brenda, your Quilty Friends have been making some awesome projects. Looks like your are as busy as ever. The amount of projects you accomplish every week continue to amaze me!
