Happy Monday frens – a new day and a new week. Let’s do this!!!!
Unknown

Happy Monday morning everyone!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! I hope you had a great week. I feel mine was pretty decent. Still kind of relaxing a bit, but definitely got some things accomplished! Now…on to the fun stuff!
My agenda for the week of 7/8 – 7/14/24:
- Clean a bit in the studio (hmm…actually that should be a LOT!!) DONE!! Not a lot but definitely some organizing and cleaning going on. I finally managed to get my big box of Aurifil thread into some boxes I purchased several months ago!! I will post photos next week of the after, but here they are before!
- Make the July Island Batik unboxing video! DONE!! I have a little editing left to do and will be posting it sometime this week.
- Start working on my August mini challenge. I did take time this past week to design something in EQ8 for it, so I’m ready to roll! DONE!! Pieced and just waiting to be quilted!
- Whatever suits my fancy! DONE!! We had a meeting for Chicken Legs’ info on Medicare since he is still working and he wasn’t sure if he wanted to sign up just yet or wait until he retires since he is on the company health plan and it’s a pretty good one. But then, he never goes to the doctor, so….After that we met our daughter and the boys at the establishment where Miss M is doing a little summer work and had lunch. I’m going to have to put a rock on those boys’ heads! Look – they are already taller than me…and I’m NOT short! LOL The photo on the left was from September of last year – on the right is now! Growing WAY too quickly!
Here’s was how my story ended for the weeks of 7/15 – 7/21/24:
- Quilt my August IB project.
- Some more cleaning/organizing in the studio.
- Start thinking about my September blog hop project for IB
- Finish editing the unboxing video and get it posted.
- Whatever suits my fancy!!

Looks like you had a great week! Happy stitching.
And I just realized I forgot to link up last week and I had a finished flimsy, too! ????
Brenda the boys have grown so much! My 12 year old granddaughter is taller than me (and I’m not short either) and she enjoys resting her chin on the top of my head as I used to do to her. You sure did great with your list last week. I’m enjoying the thread collection bin and looking firward to seeing the improvement. Good luck with your list this week. Thank you for hosting us and for linking with To Do Tuesday. ????
Sounds like a great week!! and those kids!! they can reach all the high stuff soon… but they will also start using you for an arm rest haha!!
Happy Monday! I am the shortest in the family, and have been for so long but when the grands surpass you, oh it is sad. Glad to hear your August project is well on its way. Looking forward to the video!
Love the photo with your grandsons!!! I’m curious to see your thread after photo!
Your boys have really grown – that’s amazing. Guess they are gearing up for school next month. Our grands will start on August 12, and here in our town it starts August 8. Seems earlier every year. Have a great week.
Yep, those grands are taller than you. I bet they are going to continue to get taller too. Can you stretch to keep up? ???????? Wow! I’m amazed at your thread collection. Hum, maybe I have as much but for 3 different uses. Cotton for piecing, poly-cotton for long arm, and all poly for the embroidery unit…well, with a little rayon included. I haven’t been using my embroidery unit much recently. I probably should considering how much thread I have! Good job getting the thread organized.
Oooh look at all of those pretty spools of thread. What is it about thread that makes a quilter’s heart skip a beat? LOL. I wish you a wonderful week, Brenda. The photos of you and your grandchildren are adorable. They grow up way too fast don’t they? Hugs and Blessings.
