One day on Mercury lasts about 1,408 hours. The same as one Monday on Earth.

Happy Monday morning everyone!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! I hope you had a great week. I can tell you I have had a WEEK of Mondays. UGH! As I type, I am having to use my laptop, which is not my favorite thing to do, as my desktop just up and died…right in the middle of using it! POOF! My precious son-in-love has been working on it since Monday and I am probably going to have to get a new drive. Hopefully we can copy over all my programs and I don’t have to download everything again and find codes, etc. DOUBLE UGH!! OK, ’nuff whining! Let’s start this new week! On to the fun stuff!
Here’s how my story ended for the week of 7/22- 7/28/24:
- Keep working on the studio! Got a little done, but most of the time was spent concerned with my desktop and trying to work with my laptop! Partial!!
- Continue on with September IB challenge. DONE!!
- Whatever suits my fancy! DONE!! I spent a lot of time searching for a new computer online, in case Big D can’t get that one repaired.
For the week of 7/29 – 8/4/24:
- Continue working on September IB challenge. I have the applique for one large block printed on freezer paper and ready to begin.
- Continue with cleaning/organizing the studio and house! Chicken Legs is off work this week and we are going to be busy doing just this.
- Whatever suits my fancy!! Hopefully get a new computer or drive and get it up and running.
Here is a recap of our quilty friends’ shares from last week!

Drat! I just hate it when the tech stops working. I hope that you get your computer woes sorted out soon. Have a great week.
I hope you get a lot completed in the quilt studio this week. So great that your dear hubby will be there to help you. Hugs
I had a weekful of Mondays last week too. I wrapped it up realizing I had shingles showing up. 🙁
Boy, am I glad I don’t live on Mercury. Even that’s too long for a good day but would be impossible on a bad one! Take care and hope your week is good.
I hate computer woes! It is such a nightmare and does stop us right in the middle of whatever we are doing. Hope the week brings sunshine, working hard drives and a programs that startup without a lot of re-registering!
Sorry to hear about your computer Brenda, I store everything on Dropbox so I don’t have to worry about losing things. Wow you have been busy with your Island Batik projects! I can’t wait to see your September challenge!
Good for you for getting some stitching/quilting done. And, organizing? You are my hero! I keep looking at my studio and I am just overwhelmed by it. I keep making small inroads — so small only I notice them. Hopefully you are making better progress.
Oh so sorry about your computer, I hate when those things go awry especially since I am not tech savy! I hope the issue gets resolved soon.
Oh, yuck! Unplanned computer shopping is the worst, right up there with unplanned sewing machine shopping — like when your machine gives up the ghost right in the middle of a special project with a looming deadline and your dealer says it cannot be saved. See? It could be worse! I hope your tech issues are resolved favorably before too long. Lucky to have your SIL’s help!
That’s a shame about your desktop, hope it all gets sorted out this week!
So sorry to hear about your week. Here’s to a better week ahead.
