Mondays are a brew-tiful excuse for extra cups of coffee.

Happy Monday morning everyone!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! I hope you had a great week. I survived the whirlwind and got four(!) quilts in the mail to Island Batik. One was from our June challenge and it will be given to Sleep in Heavenly Peace. It was a busy week until I finished those quilts on Wednesday and got them to UPS for their journey to California! Honestly, after having my mind blown by the quilty math for my three new patterns, I’ve been a vegetable since then – not joking! I haven’t even turned on my machine! LOL Now…on to the fun stuff!
Here’s was how my story ended for the weeks of 6/17 – 6/30/24:
- Get that last quilt stitched together, backings made and get them quilted! That is going to be a lot for this week! Deadlines!!! DONE!! And off to Cali! I wish I could share them with you but alas, I cannot. I have to say that I LOVE these new collections of Island Batik coming out this fall!
- Whatever might suit my fancy – but probably no time for anything else! Sally and Ms. Mattie will be humming…and my brain may explode from all the quilty math! DONE!! Sally and Ms. Mattie are now taking a well-deserved break – at least until today!
My agenda for the week of 7/8 – 7/14/24:
- Clean a bit in the studio (hmm…actually that should be a LOT!!)
- Make the July Island Batik unboxing video! Yes – my boxes arrived on Monday and I didn’t even have time to peek inside! UGH!
- Start working on my August mini challenge. I did take time this past week to design something in EQ8 for it, so I’m ready to roll!
- Whatever suits my fancy!
Honestly, this was me after Wednesday – head exploded and aching! But, I think I’ve had a long enough break now!

I do hope you have relaxed a bit from all that work! I too was meeting deadlines and it paid off at our Art Walk Sale. Hope you get some time to show off the goodies…I just started looking at the July boxes some others have posted – jealous!
Wow! Four Quilts! You have been so busy these last few weeks, you certainly deserve to take time away from the sewing machine to refresh.
Wow, Brenda — I’m exhausted just reading through your To-Do list! Do the deadlines and commitments mostly motivate and energize you, or do they get overwhelming and drain you creatively? For me, knowing I need to create something (or quilt something) on a deadline spurs me to power through and get it done faster but definitely with higher stress levels. I hope you are able to enjoy creating all of your wonderful ambassador projects as much as we enjoy seeing and reading about them. Happy Unboxing to you!
Sometimes you just need a little break .. Enjoy your unboxing
I’ll be erupting like a volcano after keeping The Littles 3 days/nights starting today – lol!
Hi Brenda, Your quilty friends have made some more amazing quilting projects. Thanks for sharing them with us. Have a great week, and hopefully, your head will not be erupting like a volcano this week too, with all of the things you have to get accomplished.
