It’s Monday. Don’t forget to be awesome!
Happy Monday everyone!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! I hope you all had a wonderful week. I have to say I’ve had an adventure with Jackie the Ripper this week while working on my bag challenge for next month. Hmmm…wonder if it has anything to do with me plunging in without reading ALL the instructions??!! Nah, that couldn’t be it! LOL Now on to the good stuff!
Here’s how my story ended for the week of 9/16 – 9/22/24:
- Continue making the small bag for the October challenge. DONE!! With those challenges mentioned previously! LOL
- Either have sew day with friends on Wednesday OR take a short road trip to our only nearby quilt shop that is closing the end of September. I really hate this is happening as the only place we have anywhere near now is JoAnns. Not that I don’t like JoAnns, they just didn’t have the great quilting cottons the quilt shop has. Nope! Unfortunately I’ve been under the weather most of the week, but thankfully I’m starting to feel better now.
- Get Jam Session pattern ready for release later this week. DONE!! It’s finally ready. I’ll be posting it a bit later.
- Whatever suits my fancy! Well, sitting in my recliner and resting was about all I could handle beside what little I worked on my bag challenge project.
For the week of 9/23 – 9/29/24 my plans are:
- Continue with bag project and AVOID Jackie the Ripper as much as possible! I’m actually trying to figure out a way to add quilting to it, because it doesn’t have quilting involved, so we will see how that works out. I may have to invoke Jackie some more, but I’ve gotta try it!!
- If I finish this small bag, start on the larger one from the same pattern. Fabric is ready to cut!
- Whatever suits my fancy!
Here is a recap of our quilty friends’ shares from last week!

I am so sorry to hear that you have been feeling under the weather. I hope your strength continues to grow. It is so sad to hear of another quilt shop closing. I wish you a lovely week, Brenda. Hugs.
I hope you’re feeling better this week, Brenda! Looking forward to your Thursday post. Thanks for reviewing all our posts from last week!
Glad that you’re feeling better! Don’t forget to read those instructions before you continue sewing the bags; they can be tricky when least expected. Have a great week.
Glad to hear you are on the mend. Our only quilt store closed earlier this year. Luckily we have some if you are willing to drive an up to an hour and a half to get to them. Sometimes it is worth it to me.
Whatever suits your fancy probably didn’t involve recovering, so I hope you continue to feel better!
Hi Brenda, Hope you continue to fill better so you can finish all of the projects you want to finish for this week.
