Welcome to Round Two of the Stay at Home Round Robin – 2026! Today Kathleen gave us the prompt to make it a double! We were allowed to choose our favorite “double” block, such as a double 4-patch, double pinwheel, double Z, double wrench, etc. I chose a double 4-patch! My blocks are four inches each. Here are a couple of them close up.
These blocks were easy and fun to make. I made mine scrappy…well, because this entire quilt will be scrappy! My blocks are made with two 2-1/2″ squares and eight 1-1/2″ squares, four of which are background fabric. I used my 4″ AccuQuilt Qube to make mine, but they are easily cut using a rotary cutter and mat.
And here they are added to my center block! Please excuse my “stringy” design wall. I really need to find the lint roller and clean it up!

Now it’s time for you to make your Round Two blocks and link up with Kathleen. Remember, you interpret each prompt and it’s placement as YOU see fit! There are no quilting/designing police in this SAHRR!! Some of my blocks will be four inches and some will be six or eight inches. It’s all up to you! Make one block, make a row, or even an entire border!
If you don’t have a blog you can link up an Instagram post as well to be eligible for one of the many prizes that will be given away.
Visit each of the co-hosts and take a look at their interpretations of this round.

I love seeing the variations of the quilts from everyone. Yours is so cheerful. Thanks for sharing in Sew & Tell.
Brenda, your borders are so pretty. I love how the design dances around the block.
Scrappy is a good idea. I always start out thinking I’ll use what I have on hand, and always “need” something different. LOL.
My guild did a round robin once and it was so much fun. Interesting to see how one comes together in the blogosphere.
Your small double 4-patch blocks are lovely, such colorful and joyful prints! And I love your layout! Thank you for sharing your fun SAHRR project and linking up.
I love these blocks with all those colours 🙂
Your SAHRR is looking so good!
Double 4 patch is so perfect for you and this quilt. I love the way it looks. I had designed one version of my SAHRR with that, but abandoned it, at least for the time being. Your colors are fabulous, too.
One of the enjoyable things in a quilt-a-long like this is seeing how the quilts take shape and unfold. Yours is no exception, as we see your double blocks become part of the design at the top and bottom. Lovely!
Really is coming together beautifully. Congratulations!
I love your Double 4-Patch. Thank you for sharing.
This quilt with these beautiful colours is bound to be a treasure. i’m very curious to see how you will bring it to completion
Love it! When I read Kathleen’s post I thought I’d use that one too… but let’s see!! I love the way you’ve arranged them at the top and bottom… as for threads, it’s the sign of a well used design wall, lol! xx
Oh how fun, Brenda. I love the double four patch . Don’t mind your design wall- it means it is well loved. Have a great day. Hugs.
Thanks so much, Melisa!! It is definitely well-loved! LOL
Your double 4 patches look great! The quilt is coming along nicely!!! If you meet someone who says their design wall doesn’t have threads, they’re either a liar, or they’ve just taken a link roller to it!
Your double four patch blocks look great, but I especially love how you are using them to frame the top and bottom of your quilt. Looks fantastic!
Those little scrappy 4-patches are looking good! My DW has threads, too, so no worries there!
I like your double 4-patches! Your “scrappy” is so colorful. I have threads all over my design wall, you aren’t alone. 😉
Thank you, Linda! I definitely like color!
