My soulmate might just be a coffeemaker ☕️👬JK LOL!

Happy Monday morning AND HAPPY FEBRUARY!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! I really would like whichever of my northern friends unleashed this cold weather to come get it out of my back yard! I don’t like it one little bit!! Saturday didn’t get out of the 20s all day and wind chills were in single digits. BRRRRR! At least we had no snow or ice, which is a blessing for us, though the kiddies would have loved having a little snow. If it’s cold where you are…y’all stay warm and toasty and stitch on! Now let’s move on to the good stuff!!
Here’s how my story ended for the week of 1/26- 2/1/26:
- Load applique fabric and files into my Scan-n-Cut and cut those out and get them in their spot in the notebook that I use for these blocks. DONE!! And notebook is ready. Man, did I have a hard time after not having used the Scan-n-Cut in years. I had to change the blade and wound up using a new mat to get these done. Now I need to clean and restick my older mats to be ready for the center medallion.
- Continue working on SAHRR. DONE!! Here is round two added to my center and round one. See my previous post for details.

- Create and test a tension sampler for Sunshine Cove using Big Mama Nina. DONE!! Also, the stabilizer arrived Saturday and I was able to get it cut and marked and then my grid lines stitched onto the background per Sarah’s instructions.

- Sew with Friends on Wednesday hopefully. NOPE!! No Sew Day Wednesday for us.
- Whatever cranks my tractor! DONE!! It warmed up to the 50s on Thursday so I ventured out for the first time in a couple of weeks to get my hair did…well, just a trim anyway!
Plans for the week of 2/2 – 2/8/26:
- Continue working on SAHRR.
- Review videos and instructions for Sunshine Cove Block 12 and start stitching the appliques.
- Sew Day with Friends Wednesday…maybe!
- Whatever suits my fancy.
Here is some quilty inspiration shared last week!

We are in the midst of SAHRR 2026!! Check out my post this Wednesday for how I interpreted the third prompt! Here is a schedule for when we will post. Be sure to link up your block with the host for this week, beginning on Wednesday, so you will be eligible for prizes. This is so much fun and I just love seeing everyone’s interpretations of the prompts!
There will be one linky party each week. The person hosting for the week will host the party, but each co-host will also provide a link to that blog for you.

Looks like you had a fun week in spite of the cold weather. Up here in the North I’m getting rain. The golf course will likely have golfers on it in a couple of weeks (2 months early) and we really didn’t have any winter. 🥹Wish I could trade you. Thank you for hosting us and for sharing your posts on To Do Tuesday. I love your SAHRR blocks.
Nice progress on your SAHRR. Keep up the good work.
It’s fun to see your progress on SAHRR. Stitch on–I like that saying! Short and sweet.
Happy February! You did get quite a few things done last week so good job! I’m so pleased to be joining in on the SAHRR this year, it’s really fun! xx
