Fresh week, fresh brew, fresh you – let’s do this Monday! 🆕☕🏆

Here’s how my story ended for the week of 6/8/26- 6/14/26:

• Guild show Friday and Saturday. DONE!! YES!! I worked parts of both days and didn’t really get a chance to see the quilts until after I finished at 12:15 on Friday. Then we waited for Ms. M to arrive before going through the show. I had already snuck in a little early and checked out Peaceful Village at Sunshine Cove, and was SEW pleased to see a blue first place ribbon on her!! I didn’t look at the rest of my quilts as they were scattered about and one of my sew sisters from our Wednesday Sew Day told me just as we were getting ready to go in, that another quilt also had won a blue ribbon! Can you imagine my excitement?! The other quilt was my Sedona Starburst. I think 50% is pretty good for not having entered a show in over 10 years! Here are my two winners! I was really pleased with the judge’s comments as well, with some great comments on the quilting of all four quilts and the binding. I am not great at stitching in the ditch because I want to go quickly, and one comment was “Stitch in the ditch needs to stay in the ditch!” I know that and is something I am always trying to improve upon. But overall I was very happy. Click the photos below to see a larger view. Oh, I showed a little restraint and ONLY purchased one bundle of fat quarters from the vendors at the show! It was a Kaffe Fassett x Morris & Co. 32 piece FQ Bundle! I love it!!

• Whatever suits my fancy. DONE!! Well, after we delivered the quilts on Tuesday, I was pretty much a vegetable for a couple of days. I guess I didn’t realize the stress I was under, as I don’t usually stress over things, until it was over. But my body just shut down and said, nope, not doing anything until you give me a rest. After I rested up, Thursday I was able to get the applique fused down for the Americana Patriotic Sampler.

Plans for the week of 6/15- 6/20/26:

• Continue stitching on wool sampler.
• Clean my B990 and straighten up a little in the studio.
• Stitch some blocks for the Oh Granny Quilt Along, hosted by Elizabeth at OP Quilt. I have had this block on my bucket list for a while and I’m finally going to make some!! You can join in too. Just head over to Elizabeth’s blog and get the free download.
• My precious friend Linda gifted blessed me with a beautiful Singer 221 Featherweight machine. I will open it up this week and download a manual and see what I can do with it. Photos next week!
• Maybe?? make a couple of RSC blocks as I am a few months behind.
• Whatever cranks my tractor!
