Tuesday Update

Another Tuesday has crept up on me. It was both busy and fun last week here. School ended at 1 on Thursday and all the kids came to our house to wait for the mama to finish up her day. Actually, the daddy came and picked them up so the mama could work later. Then we kept them on Friday for her to finish up and arrange furniture for the summer cleaning and waxing! She finished up early enough and we met her with the kids and had lunch at DQ! It was a fun day!

On to last week’s list!

  • Make binding and bind Tricky Triangles! Done!! You can check the details on my previous post!
Triangle Illusion
  • Get back to work on the June Island Batik project. Done!! Here is a sneak peek!! These plus two more will make the center medallion!
The Island Batik Collection I’m working with. LOVE these fabrics!
  • I really want to work on Block 11…so whatever suits my fancy! Done!! I actually got a second border finished!!

So some fun and some progress! For the week 5/31 – 6/6/22:

  • Finish center of June Island Batik project and begin on remainder of blocks.
  • Go ahead and finish that border on Block 11!
  • Let’s go with whatever suits my fancy! It keeps the element of surprise in there!!

Be sure to check out all the sales at Fat Quarter Shop for this month, as well as the great AccuQuilt sales and blog posts.

Check out the FQS blog, the Jolly Jabber. In just three days, the Great Granny Squared Quilt Along, Crochet Along, and Cross Stitch Along begins on June 3rd. Check it out on their blog here. There’s something for everyone!!

That’s all for this week. I’m linking up with Linda at The Texas Quilt Gal for To-Do Tuesday. I hope you all have wonderful quilty week! Until next time, keep on stitching!!

Oh, what fun having lunch at DQ! Haven’t been to one in ages, but a blizzard is calling me…maybe once I get driving again. Love your triangle project and Block 11 is gorgeous. The NYBeauty block in that color way is fabulous. Can’t wait to see your project.

Lunch at DQ sounds fun, Brenda! I haven’t been to DQ for an ice cream cone in forever. Me thinks it’s time to change that now that the kiddos are a little older and can eat a cone without wearing it so much. Your June IBA project looks fab. It seems like that might have met the triangle challenge as well. That is going to be one gorgeous center medallion. Good luck with this week’s list. I just love the start to block 11. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

It must be so exciting to open the boxes of fabrics you receive from Island Batiks! Those are so pretty and looks like a beautiful project you have going on. Fun with the grands is the best, right? DQ would be right up our alley. 🙂
Thank you for sharing with To Do Tuesday!

Your blocks and quilt are gorgeous and you received some beautiful fabric for some of your next projects. Sounds like you had an awesome Friday with lunch at DQ with your daughter and grandchildren.

Tricky Triangles looks wonderful. I don’t like working with Batik fabric myself but the bundle is indeed very pretty.
