…working on it

Hello everyone!

Well, I am slowly getting my sewing-quilting-embroidery mojo back and I wanted to drop a quick post to let you all know what I’m working on (yes, it’s been a while, but I am thankfully still alive!!) and to let you know about some special sales going on this weekend. We all love bargains, right?!

So what am I working on this weekend? I’ll give you a hint! Carla over at Creatin’ in the Sticks is hosting a blog hop beginning September 9-13. The theme is My Favorite Quilt Block. When I signed up and started thinking about what I would consider my favorite block, and it was difficult!! I have so many favorites. For this blog hop I honed it down to two which have always been favorites of mine. One is stars and the other is anything to do with logs – cabins, courthouse blocks, etc. I’ve just always been drawn to log cabins. In fact, the first large quilt I ever made was a Quilt in a Weekend (yeah, right – not so much for a newbie!! LOL) by Eleanor Burns log cabin quilt. I made this when my daughter was in grade school and it STILL isn’t quilted – but it sits on my closet shelf waiting for the right time (I hope it hasn’t dry-rotted!!) I’ll be digging it out next week and will let you know how it has fared and give you a peek at it! This was when I first started trying to teach myself to quilt, so it may be shocking! There’s been a lot of water under the bridge since then! I might actually quilt it this fall if it’s in good enough shape! So here are some of the blocks to what I’m making. Stay tuned for more…

And who’s having a sale? Bluprint is having a great Labor Dale sale thru 9/2/19. This is a great sale at 50% off on all kits and supplies!

I love these colors!!

Plus, all DVDs are only $12.75. So if there’s a new technique or subject you have interest in, this would be a great time to grab a DVD. If you want to learn even more without buying individual DVDs, they are running a sale on memberships also.

There are some great quilting videos along with many other topics!

I said this would be quick, so that’s it for now. Please come back and visit for my post in Favorite Quilt Blocks Blog Hop on Monday, September 9th! Until then…

I answer all comments via email. Please spread the love about my blog!

    Hi Brenda,
I have missed you so much, specially your gorgeous designs and thank you for all you have done for us all in the past but we all must move on and I love reading what you are doing right now.
Sometimes I wish I lived In the States to be part of all the wonderful embroidery experiences available.
How are your beautiful grandchildren? they must be growing up now but you commented on how lucky you are to be alive, did something nasty happen or is it just sharing gratitude to our Lord for His goodness in providing us with our every need,
I pray the latter is true.
love you lots and thank you for your email. Rosemary
