I have really enjoyed making this quilt! My OMG for April was to cut out and piece the fundraiser quilt for our kids and youth camps this summer. I would like to thank Island Batik for graciously supplying the fabric to make it. We had to fight the breeze when taking this pic, but here it is!
I got it pieced but now I’m in a quandry!! Should I add borders or no? At first I had planned to, but now I kind of like it without them. I thought about a pink inner border and then a green outer border, but not sure!! Leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts!
I’ll be linking up with Patty at Elm Street Quilts for my One Monthly Goal! Have a great weekend everyone!
I love this Brenda! Congrats on getting it done, and finishing your OMG and posting on TGIFF! I hope it makes your organization a lot of money.
Beautiful quilt. I like your idea for borders. I find auditioning border fabric and taking pictures helps me decide. Is it as large as you would like it to be, if so, then you could skip the border.
I don’t think it needs a border; the binding will be enough. If you pick one of the greens (not the darkest) for the binding it will be enough to hold it all together, and contain the flowers on the edges. Of course it’s your decision and whatever you decide will be right!
Hi Brenda! I agree with Daryl and taking a photo is a great suggestion to decide. Another thought – is it the size you want it to be without the borders? That often makes the decision for us! It’s beautiful and love the name. HAHA! Happy Saturday to you. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
That is beautiful, Brenda! I am not sure it needs a border? Place your border fabric next to one side of the top and take a photo with and without and look at them both to see what you prefer. I am sure it will be fabulous either way.
Needs a border, for sure. Just what you said. Pink, then green.
