This has been a busy month and I’m happy to say that I did actually check off a couple of items on my PHD list! But let’s start with my To-Do List.
- Stitch together the blocks for the fundraiser for church kids/youth – this is also my One Monthly Goal! ☑ I’m happy to have completed this goal! I decided to add a border and cornerstones to it. Those you will see once its quilted. I didn’t take a pic before putting it on the frame.
- Start cutting out the May Island Batik project. X Didn’t get this started but I have a plan at least!
- Whatever suits my fancy – maybe work in the software again and get my class “homework” completed! ☑ Here is the block I drew in Corel! This was a challenge for me.
For the week of 5/3 – 5/9 the plan is:
- Quilt the fundraiser quilt (Ring Around the Rosie!)
- Cut out May Island Batik project, Triangle Tricks Challenge
- If there’s time left (?) I’ll do whatever suits my fancy! We have several events with the grand loves. Miss M is being inducted into the Junior Honor Society Wednesday AM, then her dance recital is Saturday night, and I have a trip planned to a quilt shop on Thursday that will be closing! It will be a fun but busy week.
This month I have two goals, 1) to get the fundraiser/donation quilt quilted and bound, and 2) my May Triangle Tricks Challenge for Island Batik. I’ll be using this fabric, Wondrous by Jerry Khiev.
I am happy to report that I finished two of my UFOs this month!
The folded star pin cushion is for our QuiltFest Boutique to sell. I will mount and frame the cross stitch closer to Christmas and show you that then.
That’s it for my list. I’ll be linking up with Linda at The Texas Quilt Gal for To-Do Tuesday, Gail of Quilting Gail for my PHD Update and Patty at Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal May Link-up for my One Monthly Goal!. I hope you all have wonderful quilty week! Keep on stitching!!
There are a lot of beautiful things happening here.
Is your homework from a quilting class?
Such lovely work. Great job in April!!! Congratulations on your PHD progress.
Hi Brenda, You are always so busy and you get so much accomplished. Your quilt for the youth
group is awesome. I hope it brings in a lot of money! It is beautiful so it should bring in a nice sum of money.
Not only is the block you drew complicated, it would be an interesting one to make. Are your tempted? Looking forward to your triangle tricks project!
What a pretty cross stitch and a sweet pincushion. You’re doing great on your PHD. Keep it up and I’ll see you next month!
Congratulations on finishing 2 UFOs!!! That’s great!
You are very busy with all that you plan to do! Hopefully, it doesn’t get overwhelming! 🙂
Hi Brenda! Wow, you’ve got a busy week planned. Congrats to Miss M! School must be wrapping up for you guys soon, I’m guessing. We have less than six weeks to go and you can certainly feel it in the air! Good luck with your list and enjoy the dance recital. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
