Gail of Quilting Gail challenges us each year to finish our UFOs and complete the starts we began in the year. Here is my update for June!
I did get one UFO completed thanks to Joan of Moosestash Quilting for hosting a fun blog hop called When Pigs Fly!! I was glad to have this pig fly right off my machine and into my completed quilts!

My other finish was our June Island Batik Challenge called “Fly Away,” which was a project made with flying geese blocks. I made several types and sizes of flying geese blocks including 3D geese! I also made some folded center blocks, square in a square and stars. This was a fun project!

So here are my spreadsheets.

I was a little lazy about starting anything new in June. I have some quilt tops that really need quilting, so I will work on those for July…along with making a head start on my Island Batik projects for the second half of the year!
That’s all for now. I’m linking up with Gail’s blog. Head over and see how everyone is doing with their PHDs! See you next time!

Great job on both your finishes this month. I’m looking forward to seeing how many finishes you manage this month now! Keep up the good progress!
Hi Brenda!
It’s OK to be a little lazy!!! We all need a break sometime!
Love your finish for When Pigs Fly! Wasn’t that a great motivator?
And I think I’ve already told you that your Fly Away quilt is very creative and beautiful! Love the 3D geese! Thanks for linking to the PHD in 2023 linky party!
Your June finishes are fabulous! Have a great week.
You are ahead of the game, and that is good. Love both your finishes – the color challenge quilt and the flying geese project. Good luck with this month!
I always enjoy seeing your quilts! Hope you had a nice 4th.
