It’s Monday. Get up. Drink coffee. Do great things! Stay positive!!

Happy Monday morning everyone!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! I hope you had a great week. My BIL just got power back on Saturday evening. Duke had gotten power just down the street to the FD, but they told them it would still be weeks before the rest of the neighborhood had it. We are so thankful he got it back before they anticipated! Unfortunately, the water is still bad. He started a chlorine drip in his well, but it will be a good while before it is safe to drink. Please continue to pray for our family and all those affected by the storms. My nephew lives in St. Pete/Tampa Bay area but thankfully they only had minimal damage from Milton. On to the good stuff!!
Here’s how my story ended for the week of 10/7 – 10/13/24:
- Start working on November blog hop project. DONE!! I have two of the rings completed for this project! Here is a photo of one of them. Don’t you love this fabric?!

- Maybe stitch a little on the second bag. Nope! – it’s ready to stitch later though!
- Whatever suits my fancy! DONE!! Mostly this week was spent finalizing the plan for the November project and helping cart around the kiddos!
My plans for the week of 10/14 – 10/20/24:
- Today I will be speaking at our guild meeting about being an Island Batik ambassador and sharing some of my projects with the guild.
- Continue working on November blog hop project.
- Work on large ByAnnie’s bag…maybe??
- Whatever suits my fancy!
Here is some quilty inspiration shared last week!

That ring is gorgeous! It looks like it would take a lot of patience to make.
I’m glad to hear that they are making progress toward normalcy after the big storms, and that your family is all safe and sound. Congrats on the good week that you’ve had!
Happy Monday, dear Brenda. I am glad to hear that your family is alright ; these storms were devastating. It is very interesting to hear about the chlorine drip for the well. We have well water too and I was wondering how those with well water were affected; the news said the water was bad. Continued prayers to all. Have a blessed day and enjoy your day with the quilt guild. Hugs.
So glad that your brothers are seeing progress and the family in FL was spared. Ours was, too, thank God. Lovely project for November – good luck with your week!
Thank you for sharing news from the devastation. Sometimes when I complain about something trivial, I am reminded of all the things I have right now that those folks don’t have. We need those reminders! I was wishing yesterday that we could just take off and go volunteer. But we can’t. So we pray.
That black and hot pink(?) batik is gorgeous!
