Monday Musings 10/21/24

by | Oct 21, 2024 | 7 comments

Happy Monday morning everyone!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! I hope you had a great week. I am thankful to say that my family now has power, Starlink internet, and potable water! So thankful. There is still much to do in NC. Please continue to pray for all those affected by the storms. On to the good stuff!!

Here’s how my story ended for the week of 10/14 – 10/20/20:

  • Today I will be speaking at our guild meeting about being an Island Batik ambassador and sharing some of my projects with the guild. DONE!! We had a great meeting and great participation and questions about Island Batik. Island Batik generously donated four fat quarter bundles to give away as door prizes. Thank you, Island Batik.
  • Continue working on November blog hop project. DONE!! I have the background pieced and quilted and ready to start adding Dresdens!
  • Work on large ByAnnie’s bag…maybe?? Nope! That didn’t happen!
  • Whatever suits my fancy! DONE!! We went Sunday afternoon and watched the middle (by one minute!) grandson in a tennis match.

My plans for the week of 10/21 – 10/27/27:

  • Continue working on November blog hop project.
  • Sewing with Friends on Wednesday to make the folded star pot holders.
  • Whatever suits my fancy!

Thanks to everyone who linked up!

I’m so glad to hear your families lives are getting back to normal with power and water. It’s been horrific watching the news and devastation. Glad you had fun at your Guild and I’m sure your members were thrilled to win door prize IB bundles. Thank you for hosting us and for linking with To Do Tuesday. Have a great week with your list and family fun. 🤗 Carol

You’ll forgive me for laughing at your dates…. your story ended last week 10/14 to 10/27. And then your plans for this week 10/20 – 10/21/27. I think your mind is on something entirely different than the dates. Or more likely, auto correct has gone wild. No matter you are making forward progress. I can barely think ahead for this week much less a couple of years! Take care and have fun with your quilting.

So glad your family has power and water! I saw a video yesterday of a family in NC who had a Christmas tree farm that had been decimated by the flood. It had been their whole family’s livelihood for decades, and they are getting little to no help from FEMA or the ag part of government. So, so sad.
One of these days I might actually have a post to share – lol – it has been a long time.
