Monday Musings 6/17/24

Happy Monday morning everyone!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! I hope you had a great week. Mine was pretty good, I think, but it’s funny how some of those “new” goals for this week are carry overs from last week! Do you have that problem? I got a good bit accomplished, though never as much as I would like! LOL Now…on to the fun stuff!

Here’s my story for the week of 6/10 – 6/16/24:

  • Get June’s IB project into a flimsy at least. DONE!! I did better – it’s complete and was posted on Friday! Read about it HERE.
  • Continue work on For the Birds project. DONE!! Come by Thursday and check it out!
  • Make backing for Purple Haze. DONE!!
  • If the above get done, start piecing another catalog quilt. Nope! But I am starting on it today!
  • Clean a bit in the studio. DONE!!
  • Whatever suits my fancy. DONE!! Tuesday I took the swimmers to their swim meet since my daughter was not sure she would be back from Braden’s cardiology checkup, so I took them and waited until she got there. Thankfully, he got a good report! Last year he began having some difficulty with shortness of breath which we thought was his asthma, but it was occurring when he was at rest and his O2 sat was dropping, so his pediatrician sent him to a pediatric cardiologist at UAB who found he had mitral valve prolapse, and on his last checkup they found his tricuspid valve was not functioning properly. Thankfully, that had cleared up this time and the MVP was better! SOOO thankful for a good report!

What’s on the agenda for 6/17 – 6/23:

  • For the Birds Blog Hop on Thursday.
  • Start piecing the two remaining catalog quilts.
  • Clean a bit in the studio.
  • Whatever suits my fancy!

Any time you surpass a goal that is miraculous! Well done! As far as not getting everything done on your list. . .don’t you need a little something to start the following. . .kind of like priming the pump! Good news about Brandon. . .how scary!

That is a gorgeous quilt! I think the key is that the projects actually get carried over rather than dropped off, ya know? As long as we stay on them, hey, no worries! They’ll get done when they get done!

I am so glad that Braden got a good report from the cardiologist ; I will keep him in my prayers . I bet you had a wonderful time watching the “swimmers” . Woo Hoo on your goal list. I too find that many of the things on my list continues on to the next week. Oh well, it is summer so I will use that excuse. Lol. Happy Monday. Hugs.
