“When life gives you Monday, dip it in glitter and sparkle all day!!!”
-Ella Woodward-
I love this saying! What a great way to start a week! I hope you all had a great week. Here’s what’s been happening for the week of 6/12 – 6/18/23:
- Make a label for the catalog quilt and send it on it’s way to sunny California! ✔ partially! Said label was made but I decided to wait until this week to send the quilt. Have you ever used Canva? There is a free and paid version, but I used the free version to make this label and then printed it on EQ Printables. There are so many elements you can use for free that work great for labels. If you are not familiar, check it out! I usually embroider my labels, but decided to try something new. I like it. What do you think?
- Finish When Pigs Fly project. ✔ done!! It is posted today also!!
- Stitch together those houses and cut out some more. ✔ partially! I have three cut out and one partially stitched together!
- Cut out one block for Amish with a Twist, if time permits. ✘ Nope! Didn’t happen – I was having too much fun quilting my PIG project!!
For the week of 6/19 – 6/25/23:
- Mail quilt to California.
- Make houses!!
- Maybe quilt another UFO?? We’ll see.
- Whatever else might suit my fancy!
Here is a recap of our quilty friends’ shares from last week. As always if you want to learn more, check last week’s post for the links!

A day dipped in glitter is always going to be a good day. Love that saying too. Adorable label that you created and the fabrics you are using for the house blocks are so yummy.. Hope you are having a great week, Brenda .
Hi Brenda. I love the label you designed. I’d not thought of using Canva to design labels! Thank you for the inspiration and for hosting us and linking with To Do Tuesday. Love your Rainbow house. I managed to sew another this week, too! ?
Thank you for hosting the linkup again this week. 🙂 Love the cute houses you shared today. It sounds like you have a busy week planned.
I haven’t used CANVA before, so I will take a look at it. I do like how that label looks. I did some printing on fabric years ago, the prepared kind you buy at Joann’s or online. I made sure to “heat set” the printing with a pressing cloth before putting into a quilt. Don’t ship to California via UPS because they are getting ready to strike. You have a very busy week planned. Love your little houses! Great way to use up those batik scraps too!
Looks like you had a good week and a nice plan for this week. The idea of glitter Monday is nice, especially since no glitter was tracked throughout the house.
You are so inspiring! I can’t believe how much you get done in a short time!!! Love the quilt you made with the monkey. Little man looks so sweet! Have a great day.
Great links last week, and your house is so cute and colorful! Looking forward to seeing what’s up this week!
