Monday Musings 7/21/25

Happy Monday morning!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! I hope you have all had a wonderful week. This has been a painful week for me. Thankfully I was able to mostly sit in my recliner with my knee up all week. I did get dressed and went with Chicken Legs to the grocery store on Friday and was able to make it to church Sunday. I’ve been using the ice and SalonPas, alternating with Icy Hot and it’s “almost” back to the “normal” pain and swelling. Now, let’s move on to the good stuff!!

Here’s how my story ended for the week of 7/14- 7/20/25:

  • Get this knee back to it’s “normal” pain and the swelling down. IN PROGRESS! Much better than this time last week.
  • Hopefully pull together the unboxing video/slideshow. DONE!! You can check out all the goodies I received in my previous post HERE.
  • Maybe work on some cross stitch or EPP while I’m keeping the knee elevated and iced. NOPE! Mostly watched TV, YouTube, and played on my iPad!
  • Whatever suits my fancy. DONE!! See above!

Plans for the week of 7/21 – 7/27/25:

  • Begin working on my September Island Batik challenge. We will be doing a crazy quilt using Aurifil thread and a new collection that will be shipping to stores this fall.
  • Continue resting the knee.
  • Maybe?? get another quilt on the frame that needs quilting soon. We will see how that goes.
  • Whatever cranks my tractor!

Thanks to everyone who linked up! If you want to know more about any of these, click through the links in the last Monday Musings post.

Hi Brenda, I’m glad that your knee is slowly getting back to “normal”. It sounds like you were still pretty busy – nothing stopping you! Take care.

I do hope your knee is starting to get better/feel normal. It’s just the worst when you have pain in a knee. You can’t sit, stand or walk without moving constantly to try to find a comfortable position. Have a good week in spite of it.

Thanks, Carol. It is getting there, slowly but surely! Have a great week.

I hope that your knee feels better soon! I know that it’s hard to do much of anything when you’re hurting. If it persists, I suggest a visit to your doctor if you haven’t already done so. There may be something that could reduce or eliminate that pain. Have a great week!

Sorry about the continual pain of the knee. You’ve got the right routine to make it feel better — just wish it would speed up for you. Crazy quilt? Oooh I’m looking forward to that. I may have to share my grandmother’s crazy quilt. I have two actually, both the same and they are really crazy… no more info until I decide to post about it!
