SAHRR 2023

by | Mar 20, 2023 | 12 comments

Another year of SAHRR has come to a close! I can’t believe it. I would like to thank Gail of Quilting Gail for hosting this fun event each year, as well as her partners in quilting who have so generously given of their time for the prompts each week. Those include Roseanne and Sue and Home Sewn By Us, Wendy of Pieceful Thoughts of My Quilting Life, Chris of ChrisKnitsSews, Anja of Anja Quilts, and Emily of The Darling Dogwood!

I have loved making all the different block prompts and putting my own spin on this little quilt! I just finished quilting it, though the binding still needs to be added, but I wanted to write this post and link it up for the SAHRR Parade which can be found on Gail’s website (link above.) I got the D-man to be the quilt model today! LOL And here it is!

SAHRR 2023

I used left over fabrics from my Island Batik projects, as well as stash builder rolls and some of the solid half yard pieces we get in each of our boxes! That luscious lime green is one of those. I had so much fun quilting this. My free motion skills are really rusty and feathers have never been my forte, though they are my favorite motif! So this quilt gave me lots of practice with free motion and ruler work, which I do love!!

Ladies, thanks for another fun SAHRR. I’m already looking forward to next year! LOL Thanks for stopping by. I’m linking up with Gail before the party ends! Until next time…

What a fabulous job you did. The quilting really brings it to life. Love the FG echoed in the quilting, as well as the feathers and the ribbon candy (or something like that). Great job, Brenda!

Your quilt looks so vibrant and happy! Great job with the quilting. I may not know much about long arm quilting but I do know the more you practice, the better you become. Happy stitching!
