SAHRR 2024: Round Six

by | Feb 28, 2024 | 10 comments

NOTE: This post was sent out just before my website crashed. This is a re-write. So if you have received this already, I apologize.

Welcome to Round Six of the Stay at Home Round Robin 2024!! This week’s prompt is provided by Kathleen of Kathleen McMusing. The prompt for this week is letters and numbers! You can make blocks with letters, numbers, or a combination, or a block that looks like an X or Y block – whatever you like! Make your blocks however you choose and link up on Kathleen’s blog HERE.

I’m continuing to use my Island Batik left overs. I decided to use my EQ8 software and draft the letters I wanted to use in my quilt. These fabrics are from the new line of Island Batik, Fairy Floss, an original collection by Tammy Silvers of Tamarini’s for Island Batik. The more solid purple is also Island Batik but not from the same line. My letter blocks measure 4 x 6 finished.

Now decide how you will interpret this round and go link up with Kathleen at Kathleen McMusing who is hosting the linky party for this week! Remember you interpret each prompt and it’s placement as YOU see fit! There are no quilting/designing police in this SAHRR!! Some of my blocks will be four inches and some will be other sizes. This last round is six inches (finished), so I have 2″, 4″ and 6″ blocks, plus different sized “filler” strips! It’s all up to you! Make one block or make a row, a border – or four complete borders!!

Visit each of the co-hosts and take a look at their interpretations of this round.

January 15: Gail hosted the first linky party … showing your center blocks … but you’ll have to visit each of the SAHRR co-host bloggers to see their blocks. ✔
January 22: 1st Round:   Wendy @ Pieceful Thoughts of My Quilting Life
January 29: 2nd Round:   Anja @ Anja Quilts
February 5: 3rd Round:  Emily @ The Darling Dogwood
February 12: 4th Round:  Brenda @ Songbird Designs THAT’s ME!! ✔
February 19: 5th Round: Gail @ Quilting Gail
February 26: 6th Round:  Kathleen @ Kathleen McMusing
March 18: Parade: showing all of your finished SAHRRs!

Don’t Forget the Prizes!!

We reached out to several companies that we all LOVE and many of them agreed to sponsor the SAHRR 2024!!! We will keep track of all of the participants that link to our Linky parties each week. We will make a list and use a random number generator to choose the winners for each prize! So, if you link up to 3 Linky parties, you will have 3 opportunities to win! If you don’t have a blog or Instagram account, contact me, or one of the other co-hosts and we will post your SAHRR on our blog. This way you still have an opportunity to win!

I’m linking up with Kathleen at Kathleen McMusing, for this round. See you there!! Until next time…
