Welcome to Round Six of the Stay at Home Round Robin 2025!! This week’s prompt is provided by Emily of The Darling Dogwood. The prompt for this week is the Kite block. I made two different sizes of kite blocks, both as individual blocks as well as four together. Make your blocks however you choose and link up on Emily’s blog HERE.
I have used my Island Batik solids for this entire quilt. My kite blocks measure 4 x 4 finished. Those little pink and cobalt blue blocks are also 4 inches, with the individual “kites” being 2 inches each (finished.)

And here is my completed flimsy!!

You decide how you will interpret this round and go link up with Emily at The Darling Dogwood who is hosting the linky party for this week! Remember you interpret each prompt and it’s placement as YOU see fit! There are no quilting/designing police in this SAHRR!! Most of my blocks are four inches but some are other sizes. Make one block or make a row, a border – or four complete borders!!
Visit each of the co-hosts and take a look at their interpretations of this round.

Don’t Forget the Prizes!!
We reached out to several companies that we all LOVE and many of them agreed to sponsor the SAHRR 2024!!! We will keep track of all of the participants that link to our Linky parties each week. We will make a list and use a random number generator to choose the winners for each prize! So, if you link up to 3 Linky parties, you will have 3 opportunities to win! If you don’t have a blog or Instagram account, contact me, or one of the other co-hosts and we will post your SAHRR on our blog. This way you still have an opportunity to win!

I love this. You’ve made a really interesting selection of blocks and I love the way the you’ve arranged them 🙂
Whoa!!! what a great reveal!! that is super cool top!!!
Hi Brenda, I finally figured out how to make the kite block without foundation paper piecing, using the stitch and flip method! Now that I’ve made one for each panel, I’ll be making a few more blocks to finish my panels. The next ones will have appliqué, which I’m looking forward to making!
Wow ! This is a stunner, Brenda. Beautiful job! I wish you a great week. Enjoy the warmer weather.
I love that you used both individual kite units and some 4-kite units. Those tiny 4-kites are awesome!
Your quilt looks great!! I LOVE how you did the single kite blocks and the smaller kites into a block!! Fantastic!
I like that you used two kite designs in your borders. This is a fabulously fun quilt. Can’t wait to see it quilted.
Wow, love your kite blocks, Brenda!!! The same block as my recent Svana quilt. Your finished top is so fun!!!
This quilt is so unique. I like what you have created.
Your flimsy is just beautiful, all the pretty colors and designs. It is hard to believe this is the last round, it has gone fast!
