It’s been fun looking back through my first full year of blogging at some of my favorite posts. It has been awesome getting to “know” new quilty friends by visiting blogs and participating in various blog hops. Wow, where did 2018 go??!! It is really hard to choose only five favorite posts of 2018, because I enjoyed all the blog hops immensely. So, in no particular order, here goes!

First, my post with the most comments was from the Christmas in July Blog Hop! It was great seeing all the lovely Christmas projects in the heat of July!! The pattern is available here, if you are interested!
The second-most commented upon post was my post from the 30 Blocks in 30 Days Blog Hop hosted by the lovely and talented Carla of Creatin’ in the Sticks!! I think I can relate to Carla, because I grew up in the sticks! LOL Carla created 30 fun and easy blocks and invited bloggers to choose a block and create a project. This was the first blog hop in which I ever participated, and it was so much fun, I just had to keep going! You can check out my post, the block I chose, and my project which includes a tutorial for a quit table runner and some alternative layouts for using the block.
My third favorite post was just the MOST fun!! It was the Peek-a-Who Blog Hop hosted by my new friend Marian, of Seams to Be Sew! It was so much fun seeing everyone’s Halloween/Harvest creations! I don’t care for spooky, so mine was a bit more whimsical! You can read my Peek-a-Who post here! Below is The Boo Crew, which is also available in my shop here!
Again, there are so many posts I’ve enjoyed, but I would have to say the fourth would be Leaves of Many Colors. This was a fun quilt a long hosted by Fat Quarter Shop using the Maple Leaf pattern. (affiliate) I love fall, and this was a super fun project. I created a table runner using the Maple Leaf quilt block.
And finally, one of my very favorite posts was about creating a quilt for my guild’s Storybook Quilt Challenge. I loved Alice in Wonderland as a child (and still do!) so I chose to digitize some embroidery designs and incorporate them into my quilt design. You can read about Wonderland here! I was so happy and excited when I entered Wonderland into our local county fair because I won a first place ribbon!! Yeah!!!
Well, it has been a year filled with fun, excitement, and learning! Now onward and upward to set a few goals for 2019!!

Enjoyed all but I loved the leaves of many colors. I had made a table center piece (I have a round table) but used all the same colors of each leaf. But using the different colors is such a smart idea. Beautiful.
