Greetings everyone! I usually only do a monthly to-do-list, but since it’s the holidays and, due to holiday preparations, I need some motivation to quilt, I thought I’d hold myself accountable today! LOL
From my December goals:
- Virtual Cookie Exchange Blog Hop Project – done
- Crafter’s Edge December Project – will be part of Virtual Cookie Exchange Project – done
- Madelyn’s Tiny Dancer Quilt – working on cutting it out – Here’s first block!
Last Sunday was her Christmas recital. Here is a pic of my baby girl at the recital and one at the Christmas parade!!
And to continue on with my list…
- Quilt and Bind guild Comfort Quilt – nope
- December Color Challenge Block – done
- Block 11 of Sunshine Cove – if time allows – nope
Madelyn changed her mind on the layout of her quilt, so I had to order more fabric on Friday. Thankfully it arrived yesterday afternoon, but she has already been informed this will be a birthday quilt instead of a Christmas quilt! She was understanding! She hasn’t gotten her queen sized bed yet, so I think I have a little while to work on it!
This is a busy week preparing for Christmas, but here is my plan:
- Complete the cutting of M’s quilt blocks
- Clean the house and put away all my quilty goodies!
- Start preparing for Saturday’s meal
That will definitely keep me busy this week! Today I’m linking up with Linda, the Texas Quilt Gal for To-Do Tuesday!
Since I may not be back on the blog until after Christmas, here is my wish for you all!
The spirit of Christmas is the spirit of love and of generosity and of goodness. It illuminates the picture window of the soul, and we look out upon the world’s busy life and become more interested in people than in things.

Hi Brenda! I’m a bit late to the party . . . like a week. Oops! Your granddaughter is so pretty. Madelyn’s quilt is just as fab as she is. Gosh, those fabrics are so yummy and spectacular! I’m so glad her recital and parade went on without issue (not like the Christmas parade here that left several dead or injured). Anyway – enough of that. I hope you enjoyed your party on Saturday. Here’s to a fabulous 2022. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Sounds like you have gotten thru quite a bit of that December list. I would love to know more about that block for your granddaughter’s quilt. It looks complex.
The first block of your granddaughter’s quilt is beautiful! Your granddaughter is just gorgeous, her recital costume is spectacular, and her Christmas parade costume is so cute
. Have a Very Merry Christmas!
Your first block for M’s quilt is really great. Are all the same blocks or is it a sampler?
